The Xoloitzcuintli breed has a terribly awkward name. Research doesn't help the literal pronunciation of the complicated name. Xolo is slightly better to say and read. The obvious choice for English speaking countries is Mexican Hairless. Yet somehow this name doesn't suit such a loyal, loving, and devoted dog.
I recommend The Giant Book of Dog Names to find the perfect name for a newly adopted Xolo. (I personally would not go with Fido.)
